Contact and Call Center News for 7 November: CosmoCom, LiveOps, AMC TechnologyBy David Sims TMCnet Contributing Editor Contact and call center news announced recently: CosmoCom, a vendor of Unified Customer Communications, has announced the appointment of an AVP for channels and two senior account executives. The contact center industry veterans -- David Zibelman, AVP Channels; William Frazier, Southeast Regional Sales Director; and David Webster, Northeast Regional Sales Manager -- will report to Ben Eisner, recently appointed President of CosmoCom Americas. Zibelman, who will specialize in channel development, has over two decades of call center industry experience, both as a call center operations manager and as a technology supplier. His most recent position was Vice President of Business Development for Mercom Systems, and he has worked for Racal Recorders, Verint, and Seltronics Eyretel. Frazier spent almost three decades with BellSouth (News - Alert), most recently managing call center sales in several regions. He also held senior account executive positions for Southeastern Telecom and for Aspect Software (News - Alert). Webster has been a senior professional in call center management and sales since 1993 for companies including Aspect and Avaya (News - Alert). … News U Can Use, sports fans: In only a matter of months -- months! -- home-based customer service agents under contract with LiveOps, a distributed contact center vendor, have taken one million pizza orders via the company's distributed contact center. LiveOps has been handling pizza calls since May of this year. The company began by taking a small number of calls each week, with the volume growing steadily during recent months, building up to the millionth order. Contracting with over 9,000 home agents across 48 states, LiveOps is the largest distributed contact center of exclusively home agents in the country. Many LiveOps home agents answering calls for pizza delivery orders are college students and work at home caregivers. The 1 millionth pizza order was taken on Sunday, October 15th at 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time by home agent Lauran Webb of Pittsburgh. The call came in from Fort Worth, Texas. Lauran, we salute you and here's hoping you got at least a free pizza of your own. … Richmond, Virginia-based AMC Technology, L.L.C., a provider of multi-channel interaction management products for contact centers, has announced that it has successfully achieved Integrated Communications Interface certification by SAP (News - Alert) of its Telephony Connector for Chrysalis Sonata CTI The latest integration certification with SAP "demonstrates our continued dedication to the SAP partnership and customer base," said Anthony X.
