School Districts Deploy SPSS Predictive Analytics Software

Several school districts are now directly deploying SPSS Predictive Analytics Software or will benefit from the technology. Districts include Illinois, Tennessee, Iowa, New York, Alabama, Colorado, Minnesota and Louisiana.


 
Naperville School District203 will utilize the software to evaluate student performance on classroom tests and to help design tests. The assessments will be used to compare and track Naperville students against national testing standards, in compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act.


 
While school officials of Lafourche Parish Public Schools are using the solution to uncover patterns from previous disciplinary-related incidents, Hamilton County Schools is deploying SPSS (News - Alert) predictive analytics software to improve the accuracy of its student tests.
 
Additionally, research firms Analytic Focus and Reveal Technologies will use SPSS software in partnership with the company to develop accurate models .These models will assist in predicting student performance in grades K-12 based on current instructional methods used in a school.
 
According to a press release, six school districts in New York, Colorado, Minnesota, Alabama and Iowa will participate in this program.
