Here's the deal: You help out with the hurricane recovery, we print your news in as appreciatory a manner as we can:

Workstream Inc., a provider of On-Demand Enterprise Workforce Management software and services, has announced the launch of two job search assistance programs for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

The job search and recruitment programs are spearheaded by 6FigureJobs and Allen And Associates, which are fully owned and operated subsidiaries of Workstream. These programs have been designed to help both job seekers and employers of states affected by these hurricanes.

Employers wishing to post positions on 6FigureJobs, online executive career portal, may presently do so free of charge if the position is located within the affected areas of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi or Texas. 6FigureJobs is temporarily allowing positions under $100,000 to be posted on its board to further this effort. Candidates may submit their resumes, free of charge at www.6figurejobs.com.

Allen And Associates, which has provided job search and career management assistance to individuals since 1960, is making financing options available on their job search products to those looking for work, whose lives have been disrupted by hurricane Katrina or Rita. Affected jobseekers can find more information at www.allenandassociates.com.

CommuniGate Systems, a provider of scalable carrier-class e-mail, collaboration, and VoIP Internet Communication products has successfully delivered e-mail access to ComTech ESP customers located in the New Orleans area. This has allowed those customers affected by Hurricane Katrina, the ability to contact friends and family otherwise misplaced through the disaster.

"Katrina knocked out our mail server in a matter of minutes, cutting off thousands of customers who rely on us for their e-mail communication," said Ricky Couget, owner, ComTech ESP. "We were able to convert from the old server and provide access to e-mail within a matter of hours."

CommuniGate Systems provided special assistance to ComTech and continues to offer an assistance program for ISPs and Telcoms impacted by Katrina. The company is offering to send technicians on-site to help restore data communications and e-mail systems at ISPs in the New Orleans area. The program is for all ISPs and Telcoms, regardless of the communications software in place during the time of the disaster.

The program is designed to waive many of the fees associated with restoration of Internet Communications such as VoIP, e-mail, and voice-mail systems. For further information on how to take part in this assistance program please send e-mail to Katrina-assistance@communigate.com.

Lanier Worldwide, Inc. has announced the creation of a special Hurricane Relief Fund for Lanier employees who have fallen victim to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The fund was created through employee donations with matching contributions from Lanier. Several eligible employees have already received cash disbursements from the fund, and additional funds will be dispersed on an as-needed basis.

"These hurricanes have been absolutely devastating, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected by these disasters," said Nori Goto, president and CEO of Lanier Worldwide, Inc. "We are prepared to do all we can to assist in the recovery effort and help the people in the region get back on their feet."

Establishing the fund ensures that 100 percent of donations will go directly to Lanier employees. Money raised will help provide food, medicine, shelter, and generators for Lanier employees who live and work in the areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Around the country, other Lanier employees are volunteering to help their affected co-workers by organizing local collection drives for food, water, clothing, personal hygiene items, and other necessities. Lanier employees in North Carolina volunteered to help the Red Cross serve meals and water at an area shelter. To help with the broader relief effort, Lanier contributed document management and computer equipment to an American Red Cross shelter in Louisiana.
