In this role, he is responsible for product management, product engineering, operations and information systems at Solucient. Bates has more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the healthcare, life sciences, managed care, and insurance industry sectors. Before joining Solucient, he served as a senior principal in the health and life sciences practice with Knightsbridge Solutions, the largest professional services firm focused exclusively on business intelligence and data warehousing solutions. While at Knightsbridge, Bates acted as a consultant to Solucient and served as the company's interim CIO. Previously, Bates served as a director of business intelligence in the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry with Braun Consulting. His earlier experience includes positions such as director of decision support at Pinnacol Assurance and marketing analyst at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
