Boulder weather: Snow continues today after almost 4 inches overnight

Today's forecast calls for a high of 27, with snow to continue until at least noon, with another 1 to 2 inches of new snow expected, according to local meteorologist Matt Kelsch. Boulder recorded 3.7 inches of snow as of 7 a.m. this morning, according to Kelsch.

The weather service issued a weather advisory for Boulder County until 9 a.m. this morning, and poor visibility and icy conditions could complicate the morning commute for residents. The Colorado State Patrol went on accident alert just before 8 a.m. for all of Boulder County.


Friday's forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 38 and winds 3 to 7 mph. The overnight low is expected to be near 21, with winds 11 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 47 and winds 7 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph. The overnight low is expected to be near 25, with a 30 percent chance of snow.
