BRIEF: Software switch could delay Auburn water bills

Feb 06, 2013 (Opelika-Auburn News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Water bills and due dates for customers of the city of Auburn's Water Works Board will be delayed for all cycles due to the implementation of new billing software.

According to a press release Monday, the system change-over has caused a small delay in the delivering of bills, and the new water bills will reflect an adjusted due date because of the delay.

The city of Auburn previously informed its residents that the Water Works Board would be implementing the new software in January. The new software will allow for more automated payment options, including payment by phone and online access to account information, and each new bill includes a customer number, which customers will need to access utility billing account information.

For those with questions about their bills, contact the city of Auburn Finance Department's Utility Billing Office at 334-501-3050.
