8x8 CPaaS Enhances Patient Interactions for CareMonitor

By Stefania Viscusi November 05, 2024

8x8 (News - Alert) Inc. announced that CareMonitor, an Australia-based cloud hospital-at-home care management provider, is utilizing its Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) to enhance vital patient interactions.

By integrating 8x8 Jitsi as a Service (JaaS) and the 8x8 SMS API, CareMonitor now manages over 5,000 unique patient interactions daily.

“Seamless and consistent communication is undoubtedly important when it comes to healthcare and patient interactions,” said Hunter Middleton, Chief Product Officer at 8x8. “We are very proud of the work we’re doing with CareMonitor, ensuring that its customers have the resources and tools they need to provide stress-free patient interactions time and time again.”

Previously, CareMonitor struggled with managing multiple integrations and delivering essential healthcare notifications at scale. To address these challenges, they sought a customer engagement solution capable of supporting crucial notifications for health and patient interactions.

With 8x8 CPaaS, which offers SMS, messaging apps, voice, and video conferencing, CareMonitor transformed its communication and customer experience capabilities.

CareMonitor improved patient interactions. Timely health notifications allow patients to initiate two-way conversations via SMS, enhancing engagement. Additionally, 8x8 JaaS provides secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth capabilities, for seamless communication between healthcare providers and patients across various devices.

CareMonitor also realized substantial cost savings, reducing total expenditures by 53%. These savings will be reinvested to fuel further innovations on the platform.

“We understand the importance of finding technology partners that we work well with in order to deliver the best possible solution to our customers, “ said Deepak Biswal, CEO at CareMonitor. “We found that partner in 8x8. By partnering with 8x8, we have reduced development time by 30% while consistently delivering critical healthcare notifications at scale and providing a seamless telehealth experience for both patients and clinicians.”
