Smartly Impacting Telecommunications: 46 Labs Expands with Acquisition of Impact Telecom

By Alex Passett August 06, 2024

Good morning, y’all. I hope everybody’s rested, hydrated, and having a fine Tuesday.

Let’s talk about 46 Labs, for a moment.

46 Labs looks to carve itself out as the global connectivity orchestration company, serving industry-renowned organizations involved in healthcare, education, finance, retail, transportation, manufacturing, government and elsewhere (and across voice, data and messaging divides, to boot). Powered by the PeerEdge Connectivity Fabric – pluggable with any voice or data workload, allowing enterprise IT teams to leverage the power of true edge connectivity without taking on a rebuild; learn more about that here – 46 Labs provides its unified platform to equip IT leads with what they need to, quote, “deliver top-tier value and efficiency” when it comes to proper business connectivity and a well-defined, scalable digital infrastructure.

There’s the 46 Labs context. Now, the news:

Last week, 46 Labs announced its acquisition of Impact Telecom, purchased from Lingo. Notably, this marks the second carrier network it has acquired in three months (the first being HyperCube Networks).

Here’s a quick excerpt from the official 46 Labs-Impact Telecom acquisition announcement:

“The purchase of Impact Telecom from Lingo will allow 46 Labs to continue resolving some of the world’s largest connectivity problems by smartly modernizing legacy infrastructure.” Impact Telecom’s international network is a great complement to the existing 46 Labs network, as this expands its domestic offering.

It’s a win-win, if you ask us.

“I'm of course thrilled at how 46 Labs continues to grow, but mostly I'm thrilled by what this means for our customers,” expressed Trevor Francis, CEO of 46 Labs. “This acquisition is the next piece of our company's evolution focused on offering premium connectivity solutions on a global scale. With Impact Telecom's network, we can deliver better value and service than ever before.”
