By Stefania Viscusi November 02, 2023

SignalWire, the provider of the widely acclaimed open-source communications platform FreeSWITCH, has introduced its newest innovation – SignalWire AI Agent. This new offering features a simplified UI so businesses can seamlessly integrate adaptable and human-like virtual voice assistants into their operations and is designed to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

Traditionally, development and deployment of AI agents in voice applications has been complex and time-consuming, requiring deep understanding of coding and programming. Now with SignalWire's new offering, the process is simplified enough that users (including those without any prior development experience) can easily create virtual voice agents with dynamic call flows.

Thanks to a no-code interface, SignalWire AI Agent Builder has a drag-and-drop fucntion so extensive technical expertise is not needed. The AI agents can handle complex, dynamic call flows, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, from customer support and sales calls to appointment scheduling and more.

The customer service sector, for example, will be able to offer immediate assistance, answer frequently asked questions, and guide customers through common processes. It can also be used in healthcare to streamline appointment scheduling and provide information to patients and enhance their overall patient experience.

Key features include:

Lifelike Agents:

  • Uses machine-learning algorithms, text-to-speech technology, and advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) engines.
  • Creates a warm and friendly AI receptionist capable of speaking over 40 languages and adapting to various accents and dialects.

Streamlined Efficiency:

  • Automates routine customer interactions, reducing customer wait times.
  • Frees up workers to focus on more complex tasks, enhancing business efficiency.

Balanced Development for Every Level of Expertise:

  • Offers an intuitive, low-code introduction for beginners.
  • Provides advanced programming options and powerful hooks for experienced developers.
  • Integrates with existing APIs, maintaining accessibility while offering depth and complexity.

Personalization at Scale:

  • Integrates into various customer relationship management platforms, order management solutions, and backend systems.
  • Delivers personalized and effective customer support at scale.

“The mission at SignalWire since the beginning is to harness complex communications technology and make it available to developers and product builders,” said Anthony Minessale, CEO of SignalWire. “The power and flexibility of the SignalWire infrastructure enabled us to rapidly develop and integrate AI into our low-latency communications paradigm and deliver a practical set of use cases for all to access.”
