EarthLink Expands Business Reach with Acquisition of One Ring Networks

Internet service provider EarthLink has revealed its acquisition of One Ring Networks, Inc. The acquisition aims to further strengthen EarthLink's position as a provider of high-speed internet to homes and small businesses, while also paving the way for the launch of EarthLink Business Services Nationwide in the Fall of 2023.

EarthLink delivers reliable and efficient internet access to residential customers and small businesses. With the addition of One Ring Networks, a notable player in the telecommunications industry, EarthLink is poised to extend its reach and capabilities in the business market.

"This combination represents a compelling opportunity to launch EarthLink's Business offering and utilize the advances of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology to better serve our customers,” said Glenn Goad, EarthLink CEO.

One Ring Networks provides fixed wireless voice and data services catering to both business and consumer segments. With a substantial market share across key states such as Arizona, California, Georgia, Maryland and Texas, the move positions EarthLink as a prominent player in the telecommunications industry.

As part of the acquisition, One Ring Networks President John Jenkins will assume the role of the newly appointed President of EarthLink Business Services. Jenkins expressed his commitment to the growth and success of the merged entity, stating, "Our strategy is simple: continue to expand the best platform in the industry both organically and through further acquisitions across the country to help better serve the large and growing customer base of EarthLink."
