Vodia Supports Avaya Phones, Migration Assistance

By Greg Tavarez August 23, 2022

IP phone designer and manufacturer and cloud communications company Avaya announced its results for its third quarter of fiscal 2022 ended June 30. According to the results, Avaya (News - Alert) experienced a 20% drop in revenue as compared to its 2021 third quarter.

The company advised customers, employees and shareholders it may not be able to withstand this decrease in revenue combined with operating losses. Avaya determined there is substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a concern, according to Avaya’s Aug. 9 Form 8-K.

That said, new CEO Alan Masarek believes the company’s technology and legacy are strong and, with the right strategic direction, Avaya will be fine and that past performance is not indicative of the opportunity that lies ahead.

Still, there are existing customers that are, rightfully, unsure about the investments they have made in Avaya and are looking for some level of assurance. Vodia is trying to help and offer Avaya users a path forward. Its phone system interoperates with Avaya phones J169 and J179, and Vodia announced that users with Avaya phones will be supported for the life of these phones. Vodia also will offer migration assistance to enterprises, organizations and small businesses looking to transition to another brand of IP phone in combination with the easy-to-deploy cloud PBX (News - Alert) solution in the marketplace.

Those who want to migrate to the Vodia phone system can do so seamlessly with no disruption to operations, enabling organizations to digitally transform the organization and adopt a remote or hybrid work model. The IP phones Vodia supports include Alcatel, Cisco, CyberData, Fanvil, Flyingvoice, Gigaset, Grandstream, Htek, snom and Yealink (News - Alert).

The Vodia PBX comprises a suite of robust business telephony features for on-premises and cloud-based telephony, including auto attendant, SMS, paging, separation of personal and work calls, conference calls, call recording, CRM integration and Microsoft (News - Alert) Teams integration. The phone system is ideal for hospitality, manufacturing, retail and transportation companies as well as for municipalities and nonprofits.

“We are the perfect solution for Avaya customers,” said Kyle Asbury, director, sales and marketing, Vodia. “If you stay with Avaya, we’ll support you; if you want to go with another brand, we can help you migrate.”

With the Vodia PBX software, turn mobile phones, laptops, tablets, PCs and standard VoIP phones into clients all employees can use for their communication needs.
