Orangetheory Fitness Launches OTconnect for Apple WatchNew integration allows members to use Apple Watch for real-time performance tracking during class Key Highlights:
BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Orangetheory Fitness® (OTF) is enhancing its connected in-studio experience with the U.S. launch of OTconnect™ for Apple Watch at participating studios, allowing members to connect their personal Apple Watch to an Orangetheory class and access real-time performance data using a device they already wear every day.
Bringing Orangetheory Performance Data to Apple Watch "Every enhancement we make to our technology comes back to one question: Does it help our members see results?" said Stephanie Schon, Domestic Brand President, Orangetheory Fitness. "Allowing our members to connect their Apple Watch gives them another seamless way to stay connected to the data they care about that drives their progress, with a device they already wear and love, all while delivering the prsonalized experience that is core to Orangetheory." In addition to this new integration, members can further tap into the many ways Apple Watch helps users stay active and better understand their health and fitness outside of class, including advanced workout tracking, sleep tracking, heart health notifications, the ECG app, and more. The recently released Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 include the new Health Sensing System that delivers the most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable, higher-frequency heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements, and advanced health and fitness features, including a new readiness score that offers users insight into their capacity to take on the day ahead. Part of Orangetheory's Growing Connected Experience Recent enhancements include Trends, a new experience within the OTF app that allows members to view and explore their progress over time across key workout metrics. By making progress more visible beyond what members see in the mirror, Trends provides another way for members to understand how their fitness, performance and overall capability are improving through consistent training. OTconnect for Apple Watch builds on that experience by giving members another way to stay connected to their performance data during and immediately after class. Members can also continue using OTconnect Beat™, Orangetheory's proprietary performance monitor, available in studios or on orangetheory.com. Together, OTconnect Beat and OTconnect for Apple Watch give members more choice in how they connect to and track their performance data. OTconnect for Apple Watch will be available at participating U.S. Orangetheory studios beginning Oct. 23, 2026. Members who connect their Apple Watch will also get even more added value, with up to two free months of Apple Music and Apple Fitness+. Apple Music celebrates musicians, songwriters, producers, and fans with a catalog of over 100 million songs, expertly curated playlists, and the best artist interviews, conversations, and global premieres with Apple Music Radio; and Apple Fitness+ is an award-winning fitness and wellness service that offers 12 types of workouts as well as meditations, from 5-45 minutes, that users can do anytime, anywhere — and with Apple Watch, users get real-time metrics onscreen for extra motivation. To learn more about OTconnect for Apple Watch or find a studio, visit orangetheory.com or download the OTF app. OTconnect for Apple Watch requires watchOS 11.6 or later and will be available for Apple Watch Series 6 or later, Apple Watch SE or later, and Apple Watch Ultra or later.
