This year's theme, "Progress, Powered by Human Connection," highlights Preply's commitment to helping tutors grow their skills, inspire learners, and shape how people learn online. Designed to help tutors at all stages of their Preply journey, the conference will be presented in two tracks tailored to different levels of experience: Start Together, for those new to tutoring on Preply; and Grow Together, for experienced tutors ready to level up. Since launching with approximately 600 attendees in 2022, the Preply Online Teaching Conference has grown into one of the world's largest virtual events for online tutors, with more than 15,000 attendees last year. Today, more than 150,000 tutors teach over 90 languages through Preply, making the conference an important way to support Preply's global tutor community with opportunities to learn, connect and develop their skills. This year's conference comes as Preply continues to uncover what drives real progress in language learning. Findings from a recent study in partnership with Leanlab Education show that after switching from self-directed learning to learning with a Preply tutor, learners reported significant improvements in fluency, speaking ability and confidence, with 98% saying they felt more supported and nine in ten describing their learning experience as more personalized. The research reinforces the role tutors play in helping learners turn knowledge into real-world ability.
