AmeriHealth Caritas Launches $100,000 Grant Program for Indiana Community OrganizationsThe AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies is announcing the opening of the application period for the inaugural Hoosier Health Impact Grants, which will provide a total of $100,000 to community-based organizations supporting older Hoosiers, caregivers and child welfare populations in 10 Indiana counties. AmeriHealth Caritas expects to make multiple awards. Funding amounts will vary based on project scope, anticipated impact, and available funding. The program is open to groups serving Allen, Delaware, Elkhart, Hamilton, Lake, Madison, Marion, St. Joseph, Vanderburgh, or Vigo counties. Applicants may seek funding for work benefiting the eligible populations in areas such as:
"Organizations working directly with Indiana communities often have the clearest view of where support is needed," said Rhonda Mims, Executive Vice President and Chief Public Affairs & Risk Officer, AmeriHealth Caritas. "The Hoosier Health Impact Grants will invest in ideas that reflect what Indiana families, older adults and caregivers encounter every day." AmeriHealth Caritas will accept applications through 11:59 p.m. CT on Oct. 2, 2026, and announce recipients on Oct. 16.
