SUI Group Co-Leads $15 Million Funding Round for AI Trading Lab Nof1, Makes Strategic Investment in Recursive SuperintelligenceSUI Group Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: SUIG) ("SUI Group" or the "Company"), today announced it has co-led with Karatage Opportunities a $15 million funding round for Nof1, a world-class AI research lab training frontier models focused on financial markets, SUI Group has also made a strategic investment in Recursive Superintelligence's recent $650 million funding round, an AI research company building self-improving AI systems, valued at more than $4 billion. Sui Group invested $3 million in each of Nof1 and Recursive Superintelligence. Both investments were made alongside Karatage, the London-based proprietary hedge fund specializing in digital assets and emerging technology. SUI Group and Karatage made their strategic investments directly into Nof1 and, separately, into Recursive Superintelligence via a structured deal with Twin Path ventures. Karatage owns 5.63% of the common stock of SUI Group and acts as strategic advisor to the Company. Marius Barnett and Stephen Mackintosh, who are co-founders of Karatage Opportunities, serve as SUI Group's Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Investment Officer, respectively. The independent and disinterested members of the board of directors of SUI Group reviewed and unanimously approved SUI Group's investments in Recursive and Nof1. "SUI Group is committed to finding innovative ways to drive shareholder value, and we believe agentic finance represents one of the most compelling opportunities ahead," said Marius Barnett, Chairman of SUI Group. "Nof1 aims to build the scaffolding and intelligence to power AI-driven trading today, while Recursive Superintelligence is working toward foundational capabilities that will define what AI can do tomorrow. Together, they reflect our vision for where this space is heading, and our intent to lead it." Nof1's flagship experiment, Alpha Arena, is the first live benchmark designed to test whether frontier AI models can generate alpha in real markets. In Season 1 and Season 1.5, eight leading models - including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and Alibaba - each received $10,000 in real capital and traded autonomously. Across 32 sets of results, models finished in profit only six times. The experiments, which drew over 50 million views on social media, validated Nof1's core thesis: that today's frontier models require purpose-built training and infrastructure to trade effectively. Nof1 plans to launch Season 2, developing its own models, equipping them with web search capabilities, extended reasoning time, and multi-step execution. Following Season Two, Nof1 intends to launch a consumer platform with the world's first coding agents for markets. The platform will feature Nof1's frontier models, developed using open ended AI architecture which continually improves and aims to eclipse human and algorithmic traders. SUI Group will look to use these models to drive yield and return for the Company's treasury. Nof1's leadership team brings together a distinguished team of entepreneurs and researchers with deep roots across the AI industry including senior positions at DeepMind, Renaissance Technologies amongst others. Recursive Superintelligence is an AI research company building AI systems that can recursively improve themselves. The company emerged from stealth in May 2026 with a $650 million funding round, in which both SUI Group and Karatage participated. This funding is intended to enable Recursive Superintelligence to continue pursuing open-ended algorithms designed to drive continuous, self-sustaining scientific discovery. The company's leadership team brings together a distinguished group of researchers and entrepreneurs with deep roots across the AI industry including senior positions at OpenAI, DeepMind, Google Brain, and Meta. SUI Group expects both investments to contribute to its broader strategy of delivering exposure to the rapidly expanding opportunity in Agentic Finance.
