ICR, Nasdaq Center for Corporate Governance and CorpGov to Host Corporate Governance Forum

As environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues continue to impact both public and private companies, the 2019 Corporate Governance Forum will bring together headliners among various stakeholder groups for robust discussion and debate over key topics shaping the future of governance.

Hosted by ICR, Nasdaq Center for Corporate Governance and CorpGov, and sponsored by Cendrowski Corporate Advisors, Compensation Advisory Partners, MacKenzie Partners, and Vinson & Elkins, the 2019 Corporate Governance Forum will take place on November 20 at the Nasdaq Client Experience Center in New York.

"With the recent statement by The Business Roundtable for corporations to be more stakeholder-centric, as well as the SEC's (News - Alert) new rules concerning proxy advisors, the current governance landscape looks less clearly defined than ever before," said Lyndon Park, head of ICR's Governance Solutions practice. "The 2019 Corporate Governance Forum brings together corporate leaders, active and passive investors, activist fund managers and activism defense specialists, to represent a multiplicity of perspectives on the state of corporate governance."

esigned for an audience of corporate Directors, CEOs, CFOs, GCs, and Corporate Secretaries, attendees will hear views from prominent institutional investors, bankers, law firms and strategic advisors while engaging in conversation with other attendees from across the corporate issuer and investment management communities.

In addition to a featured fireside chat with Martin Lipton, founding partner of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, topics on the agenda include The Business Roundtable's stakeholder-centric position against shareholder-centrism, the rise of ESG investing and how active and passive managers are integrating ESG into their investment process, the board oversight of corporate culture and diversity, and shareholder activism.

Featured speakers include:

  • Susan Salka, President & CEO, AMN Healthcare Services Inc.; Board member, McKesson
  • Cliff Robbins, Founder & CEO, The Blue Harbour Group, L.P.
  • Brian Posner, Board Member of Biogen, Arch Capital and AQR Mutual Funds; Executive Chair of Curation Corp.
