Quadrant Software Announces Revamped Formtastic Interface and Web-Portal Integration


Quadrant Software LLC., a leading provider of IBM (News - Alert) i modernization, business intelligence and document distribution tools, has announced the latest version of Formtastic, their spool file beautification and automated distribution solution. This release includes a revamped interface for the PC-based design client interface and a new web-portal integration.

New Formtastic Interface
The new ribbon-based designer interface is much easier for users to navigate, enabling them to more quickly create Formtastic document overlays. Quadrant designed the interface to make it intuitive for users who are familiar with the Microsoft (News - Alert) Office product suite.

"I love the new interface" says Jean Patterson, Assistant MIS Director at Northwest Door. "I work with a lot of Microsoft Office products like Word and PowerPoint. Modeling Formtastic's ribbon interface based on these was a great idea. It's like I don't have to learn another program!"

Any Supported Windows Version
The Formtastic 10 design client can now run on any Microsoft-supported Windows version.

Web-Portal Integration
Formtastic now seamlessly integrates with Nexus Portal so users can easily find and access their Formtastic ocuments, such as POs, invoices and acknowledgements, directly from their browser in a mobile-friendly interface. The new web-portal integration improves productivity and customer service, and reduces document handling costs by indexing documents and enabling employees, customers and/or partners to search for them using menus and filters.

Permission-based security is built in to ensure that users can only view their documents. Administrators can easily create and maintain the portal without coding.
