Netsocket Selects Fletcher Hamilton as Company's New CEOAug 28, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Netsocket, a provider of virtualized, software-defined networking, announced executive vice president of sales and business development Fletcher Hamilton has been named the new president and CEO of the company. According to a release, in parallel, Tricia Hosek will assume the role of chief operating officer. These changes in leadership are a reflection of the next phase of the company's charter to lead in driving the adoption of software-defined networking and network virtualization technology. The company reported that last month Netsocket launched its Netsocket Virtual Network, an SDN framework for network virtualization and automation that delivers a fully optimized, automated virtualized network. Industry veteran Hamilton replaces former CEO John White, who for the last 2 years led the company's transformation into a key and innovative technology provider within the burgeoning SDN market space. Additionally, Hamilton joined Netsocket last year from Acme Packet, where he was vice president of enterprise and government sales and a founding member of the enterprise sales team. Fletcher, who is a former board member of Netsocket, has knowledge of next generation networking as well as a strong track record in worldwide sales, business development and the establishment of new markets in complex technical environments. Fletcher will lead the company's continued focus of establishing itself as an innovator and industry leader in the SDN market. Tricia Hosek joined Netsocket in early 2012 following a series of high growth and profitability achievements spanning early stage start-ups through multi-billion dollar operations, most recently with Enfora as chief operating officer and Tekelec as President/GM of the Switching Solutions group. Tricia, who has been driving the company's product and marketing initiatives, will apply her vast operations experience in the new role of COO to better enable the company to align with its planned growth trajectory. "Netsocket has a strong foundation and will continue building on its great momentum in delivering the next generation technologies that are re-shaping the networking industry today," said new CEO Hamilton. "We are excited to lead in bringing products to market which we believe will speed the adoption and prove the reality of the benefits of virtualized networking over the next 24 months."
