New Cubeware BISTRO App (SAP1): SAP Extraction Framework to "Unlock" All SAP Data [Global Data Point]

(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Cubeware, a leading provider of complete business intelligence software solutions, today announced the addition of the newest version of its Cubeware SAP ETL Framework application to its BISTRO business intelligence (BI) applications store. This application allows BISTRO customers to conveniently extract data from SAP ERP systems, including BAPIs and metadata, into custom relational databases and third party tools to use for reporting, analysis and projections.SAP ERP databases include complex reporting and extraction requirements that make it difficult for many companies to pull and use data from their SAP ERP system for planning and analyzing business operations. Although the information necessary for effective decision making is available in the system, businesses either fail to satisfy all reporting requirements in SAP or lack an efficient method for extracting the data to use with other business tools.

The Cubeware SAP Extraction Framework makes it easy for companies to control the tables and data they want to extract from their SAP ERP through a simple configuration. The application consists of runtime version of Cubeware Importer and Cubeware Connectivity for SAP Solutions. The app logs provide access to information such as audits and control listing users, execution time, number of records transferred, and error messages. While the app allows for the extraction tables to be created automatically, the option for more refined extraction is available with minimal training.

While the new and most powerful version will be hosted on BISTRO, previous versions of the application have proven valuable with a number of Cubeware customers.

For example, Grazer Wechselseitige, a large insurance company in Central Europe, needed a transparent way to export SAP information into its data warehouse for reporting and planning issues. With its flexibility and easy implementation, Cubeware's SAP Extraction Framework was an ideal solution, allowing Grazer Wechselseitige to load cost information, including complex structures and data, in just one single step. "Cubeware's technical competence and knowledge of complex data structures makes them an excellent fit for us," said Gernot Zechner, Head of Controlling Information Systems at Grazer Wechselseitige. "The Cubeware SAP Extraction Framework serves as a stable and usable solution that aids in the success and efficiency of our business." "After having deployed numerous successful projects in the SAP environment, we were able to develop a framework for unlocking and extracting SAP data," said Wolfgang Seybold, CEO of Cubeware. "The true value in the Cubeware SAP Extraction Framework, which is free of charge to customers with the basic Cubeware technology, is in the easy-to-use framework characteristics and robust logging capabilities." Cubeware's BISTRO brings together the best elements of the BI application store – featuring a variety of licensable BI applications tools and code libraries to expedite customized BI deployments. To assemble these components, BISTRO features an active community of solution providers, business partners and developers with proven experience creating and deploying BI solutions.

For mid-sized enterprises and departments of Global 2000 corporations, BISTRO expedites the process of purchasing, assembling and deploying customized, vertical-market-focused BI solutions so they can be deployed much faster than the conventional BI and analytics solutions. Because BISTRO BI solutions have been proven through successful deployments, BI customers can avoid the risks that come with first-time use applications and scenarios.
