Sitka, Alaska Begins E-Recording with Simplifile

Sitka, Alaska, Feb 25, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Sitka Recording District, Alaska, is now accepting documents for e-recording through Simplifile, the nation's largest e-recording service provider.

Land document submitters such as title companies, banks, and lien filers may now send their documents to Sitka's recording office via the Internet using Simplifile's e-recording service. With this new option available, organizations are no longer required to submit documents for recording by mail, runner or courier service, a more costly and time-consuming method.

E-Recording not only benefits the document submitter, but it also streamlines the workflow at the recording office by automating the recording process and eliminating the need to handle paper document submissions or mail back originals. Through Simplifile's online e-recording service, everything is uploaded, recorded and returned to the submitter using a secure Internet connection.

Alaska State Recorder Vicky Backus anticipates Ketchikan, Wrangell, and Petersburg recording districts will also be enabled for e-recording in March.

"Our customers love using Simplifile because it provides real cost-saving benefits and significantly reduces the recording time for important documents," said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. "E-Recording really has become today's standard for recording public documents." Last Tuesday Simplifile announced three additional Alaska recording districts that were made available for e-recording - Juneau, Haines and Skagway recording districts.

Simplifile provides 24/7 support and training for all e-recording customers. To begin submitting documents for e-recording in Alaska, call Simplifile at 800-460-5657 or visit Simplifile.com for more information.
