Ixia Q4 net income decreases


Feb 11, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Ixia, a provider of converged internet protocol test systems and services for wireless and wired infrastructures and services, has reported that net income for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012 was $4.59 million, or $0.06 per share, compared to $9.76 million, or $0.14 per share, for the same quarter ended December 31, 2011.



Total revenues for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012 were $124.12 million, compared to $83.65 million for the same quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Net income for the year ended December 31, 2012 was $47.23 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, compared to $23.77 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, for the year ended December 31, 2011.


Total revenues for the year ended December 31, 2012 were $411.66 million, compared to $308.36 million for the year ended December 31, 2011.

"Our strong fourth quarter capped off a transformational year that included completing two significant acquisitions and achieving record revenue and profit," commented Vic Alston, Ixia's president and CEO.

"In the quarter, demand was strong across our entire solution offering with revenue from our Anue and BreakingPoint solutions exceeding our expectations.
