Under AWG's wireless management model, travelers at SAN will now have the ability to enjoy a complimentary 45 minute session of unlimited wireless service after watching a brief sponsored message. A timer on the web portal will alert travelers when their session is about to expire, in which case they have the option to view another advertisement to enjoy as many complimentary sessions as they choose. Roaming services will also be available for any travelers who have acquired a subscription through an outside provider that will allow them wireless access at SAN. "Many airports in the U.S. still have yet to adopt a wireless offering that appeals to the average traveler's needs, though the trend seems to slowly be heading in that direction," said Scott Phillips, President and CEO at AWG. "As mobile device usage amongst consumers continues to grow we expect many more airports will recognize the importance of offering an alternative to the traditional, single, flat fee model for wireless connectivity." As outlined in their contract, AWG will integrate with SAN's current wireless infrastructure to provide completely complimentary wireless Internet services to travelers for one year.
