Apple's new iPad scores higher user satisfaction than predecessorsSAN FRANCISCO, Apr 02, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- User satisfaction with the new iPad is higher than similar ratings of Apple's previous generation of tablet device, research firm ChangeWave said on Monday. A new ChangeWave survey found that 82 percent of new iPad owners said they are "very satisfied" with the device, with another 16 percent saying they are "somewhat satisfied". In comparison, only 74 percent owners of Apple's older iPad 2 said that they were "very satisfied" and 23 percent proclaimed to be "somewhat satisfied" in a previous survey by ChangeWave. The latest poll was conducted between March 22 and 28 this year on 200 owners of the new iPad, which hit stores only on March 16. The high-resolution Retina display proved to be the most popular feature of Apple's latest tablet as 75 percent polled said it was what they liked best about the new iPad, followed by long battery life, 4G LTE capability and faster processor which scored between 20 percent and 22 percent of satisfaction rates respectively among owners. When asked what they disliked most about the new iPad, 26 percent of users cited the cost of the device while 23 percent said the cost of the wireless date plan as two of the biggest gripes. As for the widely reported issue of excessive heat, the survey showed that no users saw it as a very big problem and only 4 percent of owners thought it to be "somewhat of a problem". According to the survey, the vast majority or 89 percent owners of the new iPad reported that they hadn't experienced any problem of the excessive heat. |
