Submarine Cable Already Being Tested- Reveals Govt OfficialLuanda, Nov 06, 2011 (Angola Press Agency/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- The submarine cable for telecommunications, which will connect the country with South Africa, England and other regions of the world, providing better communication conditions, is already being tested, revealed Friday in Sangano locality, Kissama District, the minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Jose Carvalho da Rocha. The Angolan government official, who was on an assessment visit to the mentioned locality to inspect the setting up of the Submarine Cable Station, in Sangano locality, checked with satisfaction that the equipment's signal was on, which enables the testing of the system. He stressed that if continue to move in this way, the project will fulfil its chronogram of actions, which foresees its inauguration in the first semester of the coming year. The minister also revealed that the Sangano station will represent the access point for communication with the exterior, through the link with the cables that are installed in all the provinces' chief towns, aimed at connecting the country to this communication system. |
