Telenor Serbia Deploys Amdocs Operational Support SystemsJun 28, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Amdocs, a provider of customer experience systems, announced that Telenor Serbia with help of local partner, S&T Serbia, has deployed Amdocs operational support systems as the inventory and planning system to support the first phase of its OSS transformation project. "The movement to a NGN is required for us to meet market demands and remain competitive. We needed a system that enables us to rapidly deploy new services while controlling costs," said Oystein Mikkelsen, chief technology officer for Telenor Serbia, in a release. "Amdocs' solution will give us an accurate model of our network and resources, and provide us with network trend and capacity usage data. As a result, we will be able to realize resource efficiency by deploying new resources just in time, and reduce time to market by automating our planning and fulfillment processes." Telenor Serbia's OSS transformation project is designed to enable the mobile operator to deploy and manage an all-IP next-generation network that will offer new services to its 3.059 million subscribers. The announcement was made in conjunction with Amdocs' Asia Pacific InTouch Business Forum, the company's annual customer and partner event. S&T Serbia is a provider of IT consulting, IT solutions, and IT services in Central and Eastern Europe and in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region. Telenor is a mobile operator.
