TMC and EMBRASE Business Consulting have revealed that TokBox (News - Alert), Inc., creators of OpenTok, will sponsor the third installment of StartupCamp, Communications Edition, colocated with ITEXPO East, being held Feb. 3, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

StartupCamp Comms is a forum for early-stage entrepreneurs to pitch their communications offerings to a discriminating audience of potential investors, media, bloggers and industry influencers, who gather for an evening of rich networking.

'We believe that real innovation in the communications space is coming from start-ups.  StartupCamp Comms gives us the unique opportunity to learn from and interact with an audience of experts, entrepreneurs and influencers who are deep in the space, as well as introduce them to OpenTok and the possibilities for innovation that it represents,' said TokBox CEO Ian Small.

TokBox is a leading multi-way Web video communications provider. OpenTok, the company's flagship product, is a game-changing new platform that enables websites to weave live, group video conversations into their online experience. Targeted at businesses, entrepreneurs, developers and anyone with a Web presence, the platform harnesses the power of video to drive user engagement with the website's content as never before.
StartupCamp co-founder Larry Lisser (News - Alert) added: "The OpenTok platform is opening new opportunities for developers and entrepreneurs to innovate with video communications. This aligns very nicely with StartupCamp's overall mission and we're thrilled that TokBox has chosen to partner with us in Miami."
StartupCamp Comms is colocated with ITEXPO (News - Alert). Other events taking place at ITEXPO in Miami include: 4GWE Conference; Smart Grid Summit; M2M Evolution Conference; Cloud Communications Summit; Social CRM Expo; SIP Tutorial; VIPeering; Business Video Expo; Digium|Asterisk (News - Alert) World; ChannelVision Expo (CVx); and Super WiFi Summit.
Companies interested in sponsoring StartupCamp should contact TMC's (News - Alert) Joe Fabiano (203-852-6800, ext. 132) or Maureen Gambino (203-852-6800, ext. 109).
