BRIEF: eCycling at State Fair Park [The Moore American, Norman, Okla.]


(Moore American, The (Norman, OK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 18--MOORE -- Moore residents will have an opportunity to get rid of old computers and electronic equipment in an environmentally sound manner and free of charge.

The City of Oklahoma City, Waste Management Recycle America and LG Electronics have partnered to offer an eCycling drop-off event.

Participants are encouraged to drop off and recycle any brand of electronic products or computers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday at State Fair Park.

By recycling old electronics products, useful materials such as glass, plastic and metal can be re-used in the manufacture of other products. Recycling electronics minimizes the amount of hazardous waste in the landfills and the extraction of new raw materials from the earth.
