'Acropolis Telecom increases H1 turnover to EUR 17.2 million'

Jul 23, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- French VoIP and mobile operator Acropolis Telecom announced that it increased first half turnover by 17.2 percent on the year-earlier period, but the 42-person company gave no Euro figure. Company co-founder and CEO Samir Koleilat attributed this healthy growth to strategic choices Acropolis made in offer SMEs fibre-based unified services including VoIP, internet and e-mail, videoconferencing, telepresence, hosting and managed services. The operator holds an MVNO licence, allowing it to bundle mobile into its general package. It is the first MVNO to start using 07 mobile numbers that can be used by clients to choose symbolic or mnemonic numbers, which Koleilat sees as a good marketing opportunity. Acropolis raised EUR 1.8 million in a June capital increase with BNP Paribas. The company has 1,200 clients with 45,000 end-users in France and elsewhere in Europe. It operates from four data centres in France. Wi-Fi customers can connect to the internet at 45,000 hotspots in 48 countries.
