Valley dancers star in new Baby Bash/Pitbull music videoDec 07, 2009 (The Monitor - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Fans of Baby Bash's new hit "Outta Control," featuring Pitbull, are eager to see the yet-to-be-aired music video. Larisa Sotelo already knows how it goes down. Sotelo, 20, is one of eight dancers from the Stallion All Stars dance group who were cast as video vixens for the hip hop stars' new track. They danced alongside Baby Bash, Pitbull and America's Best Dance Crew season-three winner Quest Crew. The Stallion All Stars perform and train at South Texas Cheer and Dance in Mission. Ileana Martinez, the girls' director, said the eight chosen ranged in age from 17 to 25. Not only was Sotelo chosen as the featured dancer for the "Outta Control" music video, she was also the pick for cumbia super group Los Super Reyes' music video for the song "Todavia." The music video for "Outta Control" was shot at Toxic nightclub in Corpus Christi. "I was kind of nervous," Sotelo said. "But I was really happy with the shots they chose." Sotelo said she's always wanted to be in show business, but it isn't something she's banking on. The Mission resident is attending University of Texas-Pan American and is in her second year on her way to becoming a pharmacist. The hip hop stars were anything but divas on the set. "They did very little, but they were all business," Martinez said. Baby Bash and Pitbull said hello to the girls, posed for a few photos and then they got to work. Both video shoots went smoothly, Martinez said. The Del Rio Agency recently produced the final cut and the music video for "Outta Control" is expected to debut soon. The long days shooting video paid off for the girls -- they may be on the road to fame as video vixens. Though they got to keep their skin-baring wardrobes, the modestly styled Sotelo said she probably won't wear her outfit again. Well ... maybe one or two pieces. ------ Amy Nichol Smith covers entertainment for Festiva. You can reach her at (956) 683-4420 or at [email protected].
