(SHSE: 600198) says today that its subsidiary UniScope Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has been licensed the technologies of TD-SCDMA terminals A2000+TV/A2000+HSDPA from Leadcore Technology Co., Ltd. for CNY 5 million. Leadcore Technology, engaged in TD terminal solutions and chips, was formed through a merger of Datang Microelectronics and Shanghai Datang Mobile Communications Equipment Company Ltd., a spin-off from Datang Mobile, in March 2008. Knowledgeable people disclose that Leadcore Technology has harvested over CNY 300 million of licensing fees. Sun Yuwang, president at Leadcore Technology, once said that more than 60 of the over 100 TD handsets that have gotten network access licenses in the country have been equipped with Leadcore chips, with an additional 14 new models afoot. Among the top four PC makers in the world, Lenovo, HP and Acer have all adopted Leadcore's products.
