Call center Teleperformance expands in Edsa Central district

(Business World (Philippines) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Edsa Central, one of the top information technology locations in the metro, plays host to the expansion of Teleperformance Philippines. The call center firm recently inaugurated its new home at the Edsa Central Greenfield district attended by top executives from its parent company and key government officials.

Teleperformance Philippines executives, Managing Director David Rizzo and President Miguel Cojuangco, led in welcoming guests which included Daniel Julien, chairman of the supervisory board of Teleperformance SA; Brent Welch, chief executive officer of Teleperformance SA; Dominic Dato, chief executive officer of the Teleperformance USA Group; and Kelly Dworak, president of Worldwide Service Delivery.

Also joining the program were Greenfield Development Corp.'s Chairman Jeffrey Campos, Vice-Chairman John Tan and Executive Vice-President Duane Santos and Trade assistant Secretary for management support and services group Maria Lourdes Bauer.

"Given that 10% or 7,500 out of 75,000 Teleperformance employees are Filipinos, this shows the huge vote of confidence Teleperformance has given the Philippines," said guest of honor Senator Mar Roxas III.

Teleperformance Philippines has seen tremendous growth in operation since it was established in 1996. It has 5,000 workstations combined in four facilities including the newly opened Edsa Central office. The 15,000- square-meter, two-storey building was built in response to the increasing demand of Teleperformance clients, which include telecommunication companies and financial institutions. The office accommodates 2,500 seats for various accounts.

Knowing that its human resources are an integral part of their business, Teleperformance also made sure that its new home in Edsa Central remains a comfortable working environment.

Edsa Central is extremely accessible being a hub for various kinds of transportation. The MRT station is a short walk away, as are the terminals for buses, jeepneys, FX, taxis and even tricycles destined to different parts of the metro.
