(Journal Star (Peoria, IL) (KRT) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Sep. 2--IAAP MEETING SET FOR TUESDAY The International Association of Administrative Professionals Tri-County Chapter will meet Tuesday at the Radisson Hotel, Ashford room, 117 N. Western Ave., Peoria.

Mary Ardapple, owner, Apples Bakery Northside Market, will speak.

Picnic buffet is at 5:30 p.m., business meeting is at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. The program is free of charge. Buffet cost is $15.

SCORE MEETING IS TUESDAY: SCORE Counselors to Small Business will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the PeoriaNEXT Innovation Center, 801 Main St., conference room A114 in Peoria.

Nancy Wright, executive director, Bradley Technology Commercialization Center, PeoriaNEXT Innovation Center, will speak.

PRSA WILL HOLD QUARTERLY MEETING: The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Central Illinois Chapter's will meet Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at Kickapoo Creek Winery, 6605 N. Smith Road, Edwards.

Cheryl Proctor-Rogers, APR, Fellow PRSA, Immediate past chair/CEO of PRSA will present "Creating a New Normal: How Risk, Ethics and Confirmation Bias are Shaping the Public Relations Profession." PRA PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE MEDIA PANEL: The Public Relations Association (PRA) will meet at 11:45 a.m. for networking with a program at noon Sept. 19, at the River Station, 212 SW Water, Peoria.

"What's Uuuuuuup?!," a media panel comprised of local media professionals discussing the latest media changes and trends in the Central Illinois area and within the industry, will be the topic. Representatives from the Journal Star, WEEK-TV, JMP Group, Kelly Communications, and Regent Broadcasting are scheduled to attend.

Cost is $45 for membership dues, per person, payable by Sept. 19, to take advantage of the discounted lunches.

PARALEGAL ASSOCIATION HOLDS ANNUAL SEMINAR: The Central Illinois Paralegal Association will host its annual education seminar from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Sept. 21, at the Doubletree Hotel on Veteran's Parkway in Bloomington.

Justice James A. Knecht of the Illinois Appellate Court will be keynote speaker. Kathy R. Chamberlain of Howard, Habecker & Morris LLC in Peoria, will present "Common Pitfalls in a Litigation Practice and How to Avoid Them." Five continuing legal education hours have been applied for and approved.

Also, CIPA is honoring the founding members with a special celebration dinner on Sept. 20. The dinner is included in the price of the seminar registration.
