Plaxo Introduces Premium Services; New Services Enable Access to Contacts, Calendar and Tasks Through Any WAP-Enabled Device and Eliminate Address Book Clutter

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- March 22, 2005 -- Plaxo(TM), Inc., creator of the fastest-growing consumer Internet service for updating and accessing contact information, today announced the immediate availability of two new Premium Services, Plaxo Mobile Access and Plaxo Address Book Optimizer. The existing Plaxo service, currently used by over five million subscribers worldwide, will remain free. The new services provide expanded functionality and will be sold on an annual, paid subscription basis, both individually and packaged as part of the Premium Services Suite.

The new services include:

Plaxo Mobile Access

With Plaxo Mobile Access, subscribers may rest assured that they never need to scramble to find an important e-mail, phone number, address, or appointment, and are freed from the monotonous tasks of entering phone numbers into mobile phones' limited contact folder. Offering an intuitive user interface, Plaxo Mobile Access provides access to a member's contacts, calendar and tasks from any WAP-enabled device, without the need to purchase an expensive handheld or use cradle or cable synching. Members can search for detailed information of any individual in their address book, as well as view their full calendar, notes and tasks data -- all from the convenience of their mobile phone. Plaxo Mobile Access also allows users to dial phone numbers directly from their Plaxo contact list.

Plaxo Address Book Optimizer

Plaxo Address Book Optimizer eliminates the nuisance of duplicate and incomplete contact information. Leveraging patent-pending technology, the service cleans up and deletes duplicate contact entries, and intelligently merges multiple incomplete entries for any individual into a single, complete and accurate entry. Users are provided the ability to review, edit or accept suggested changes to the duplicate information.

Plaxo Premium Suite

The Plaxo Premium Suite includes Plaxo Mobile Access, Plaxo Address Book Optimizer and Plaxo VIP Support. Plaxo VIP Support has been available for purchase since December 2003 and includes priority e-mail, phone and live one-on-one chat support.

"We have a perpetual need today to stay connected, wherever we are and whenever we choose," said Rikk Carey, executive vice president of engineering and operations for Plaxo. "Enabling mobile access, as well as ensuring our members aren't accessing duplicate or dated information, was a natural next step in our goal of keeping Plaxo members in control of their lives and connected to the people and information that they care about."

Plaxo's membership now represents over 83 countries around the world, and contains close to 1.2 billion contacts. As Plaxo becomes increasingly popular, people often find that their friends and colleagues are already members, creating a network of people whose contact information is always up-to-date through the seamless address book updating that occurs between linked members. Plaxo not only automatically updates contact information, but it also synchronizes users' Outlook calendar, tasks and notes to ensure that people have access to the most current information anywhere, and at all times.

Pricing and Availability

The Plaxo Premium Suite consisting of Plaxo Mobile Access, Plaxo Address Book Optimizer and Plaxo VIP Support costs $49.95 for a one-year subscription.
