TORONTO and BILLERICA, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- July 29, 2004 --

Mike Newell Brings 25 Years' Experience in IT Management, Sales, and Engineering to New Position

Getronics executive vice president and North America general manager Kevin Roche announced that Michael Newell has been appointed president Getronics Canada Inc. Mr. Newell comes to Getronics from Atos Origin, a global IT consulting and service organization for which he was vice president of strategic sales. He will be based in Toronto and report to Mr. Roche.

Mr. Newell has 25 years of experience in general management, executive sales and sales management in IT services, software and hardware. He began his sales career at Data General Canada in Montreal. He then spent five years as federal government district sales manager for Wang Canada before moving to Informix Software where, as that organization's general manager, he established the Canadian subsidiary. He also spent four years at Oracle Corporation, where he rebuilt the company's central region sales force and became the top producing manager in the company. Prior to his sales career, he was a systems engineer with Datacrown Inc. of Montreal.

Mr. Newell has a bachelor's degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.
