Ian Campbell is president and CEO of Nucleus Research which specializes in industry-leading return on investment (ROI) research. He is an expert on ROI and Total Cost of Ownership analyses of technology and has written and presented extensively on a range of organizational topics. He is the author of numerous studies on quantifying technology and the steps needed to achieve bottom-line benefits.
Prior to joining Nucleus Research, Campbell was vice president at International Data Corporation, where he managed a portfolio of research programs in the U.S. and Europe, as well as IDC's ROI consulting practice. Campbell holds a master's degree in business administration from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. and bachelor's degree in computer science from Northeastern University in Boston.
Maryfran Johnson is editor-in-chief and vice president at TechTarget. Previously, Johnson served as editor-in-chief of IDG's Computerworld. In her five-year tenure as editor-in-chief, Computerworld's editorial team earned more than 100 awards, including the prestigious Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Award.
Johnson has served as a keynote speaker at numerous industry conferences, and has appeared as a commentator for national radio and television programs, including programs on CBS, CNN, PBS and NPR. She holds a master's degree in journalism from The Ohio State University, where she was a Kiplinger Public Affairs Reporting Program Fellow from 1987-88. She has two bachelors' degrees. One is in French literature from the State University of New York at Albany; the other is in journalism from the University of Florida.
