The addition of SIP expands the number of platform providers able to take advantage of CrystalVoice's solutions to deliver high-quality voice over the Internet, including IP phone systems, conference bridges, ACDs, and voice gateways. The Voice over IP community has adopted SIP as the next generation protocol for IP Communication signaling. SIP is a signaling protocol used for establishing sessions in an IP network. A session could be a simple two-way voice call or it could be a more complex collaborative multi-media conference session.
