3Com To Continue Using Birdstep RDM Embedded As Database For NBX Solutions

Birdstep Technology announced that 3Com Corporation will continue using Birdstep’s RDM Embedded as the database in their 3Com NBX Networked Telephony Solutions.

“RDM Embedded has proven to be reliable and fast, while still providing the benefit of a small-footprint,” said Anne Pelagatti, Director of Software Development, 3Com.

3Com enterprise voice products are based on Internet protocol (IP)-based solutions, which means that you can combine your voice and data on a single network infrastructure. This greatly simplifies your overall administration duties. Designed with non-technical staff in mind, Move-Add-Changes (MACs) are self-directing and users will not need to be supported by the IT department. A web browser and the NBX NetSet utility make administration fast and easy, from anywhere on the network. With it's own real-time operating system server, PC failures do not impact the NBX, so your phone lines stay up even if other systems fail.
