SBLI Lowers OmniTrak Term Rates and Expands Underwriting FlexibilityThe Savings Bank Mutual Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts ("SBLI") today announced lower rates and expanded underwriting guidelines for OmniTrak Term, giving financial professionals more opportunities to help clients secure affordable life insurance through a streamlined, digital experience. Effective October 14, 2026, the rate reductions apply to qualifying new and pending OmniTrak Term business that meets the following criteria:
SBLI also expanded OmniTrak underwriting flexibility in two key areas. First, it liberalized family history guidelines by lowering from age 65 to 60 the age at which one or both parents' deaths from cardiovascular disease or familial cancer are considered in class guidelines. Family history requirements are now waived entirely for insureds age 60 and older. Second, simplified age bands and increased income multiples allow agents to help more clients get the protection they need. "Today's changes are the second phase of improvements we've implemented this year to lower prices and provide greater underwriting flexibility to agents and their clients," said Jeff Maxwell, vice president, Independent Distribution at SBLI. "We are excited to make OmniTrak more competitive in one of the faster-growing segments of the term life insurance market, particularly for those looking for larger coverage amounts." OmniTrak Term is widely available to financial professionals through several leading life insurance distribution platforms. To learn more, visit SBLI.com/OmniTrak.
