Findem Takes on Candidate Fraud With Authenticity Suite ProExpanded suite connects people intelligence with identity verification to help employers investigate candidate fraud and reduce hiring risk REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and LAS VEGAS , Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- HR Tech Conference Booth #6116 -- Findem, the people intelligence platform, announced Authenticity Suite Pro to help employers uncover candidate fraud before it becomes a hiring mistake or security threat. The expanded suite connects people intelligence with identity verification, giving hiring teams evidence to investigate concerns and verify candidate identities and credentials.
Fabricated work histories, borrowed identities and proxy interviews are challenging the assumption that applicants are who they claim to be. In a 2025 Gartner survey of 3,000 job candidates, 6% admitted to interview fraud, either impersonating someone else or having another person interview on their behalf. Gartner also predicts that one in four candidate profiles worldwide will be fake by 2028. "Candidate fraud is an enterprise security risk. A fraudulent hire can become a backdoor to company systems, personal information and trade secrets," said Satish Kumar, CEO of Glider AI, a Findem company. "As foreign adversaries and criminal organizations grow more sophisticated, employers need stronger defenses at the point of entry. Authenticity Suite Pro gives hiring and security teams evidence to investigate concerns before a candidate gains access." The burden falls on recruiters investigating discrepancies, hiring managers interviewing misrepresented candidates and legitimate applicants competing for attention. Manual checks across resumes, online profiles and other records make it difficult to resolve concerns early and consistently. "Recruiters shouldn't be expected to defend against candidate fraud alone," said Kyle Lagunas, founder of Kyle & Co., the research firm behind The State of Candidate Fraud Detection & Prevention. "Our research points to a critical gap between detecting potential fraud and knowing how to respond. Hiring teams need clear evidence, a way to verify concerns and a defined process for involving security. A flag should start an informed review, not trigger an automatic rejection." Clear signals for closer review For example, Findem can flag employment details that conflict with other sources and check whether companies listed on a resume appear in its company graph. The suite also considers repeated applications from a single location, unusual employment overlaps and hidden text in application documents. These signals warrant clarification with candidates; they do not establish misconduct. Connected checks from application through employment Recruiters can invite candidates to a short, consent-based, AI-proctored verification session through a secure link. Liveness checks help confirm a real person is present. Government-issued ID verification is also available, subject to administrator permissions. Teams can request verification individually, in bulk or automatically for all future applicants. Optional interview preparation introduces the role and collects answers to recruiter-defined questions during the same session.
