Apple (News - Alert)'s 2022 Back to School promotion generally runs till Monday, 26 September in the US and Canada. Every year, Apple gives a free product when consumers purchase an eligible Apple product. However, the gift in 2022 is switched to a gift card rather than any Beats headphones or AirPods.

The promotion is available for almost everyone in the education industry, including students attending or accepted to a higher-education institution, faculty, staff of higher education institutions, parents buying products for their eligible children, and employees of K-12 institutions.

In 2022, students can get a gift card up to $150 when buying the following eligible products. The gift cards can be used to purchase Apple products, accessories, App Store apps, Apple Music service, and more. A $150 gift card is available for a MacBook Air, 13-inch, 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro or a 24-inch iMac.

MacBook Air

• Whether it's the newest MacBook Air with the powerful M2 chip or the hot-selling MacBook Air with the M1 chip, qualifying students can get a student discount. For example, a MacBook Air with M1 chip is available for $899 (normally $999). The completely redesigned MacBook Air with M2 chip is as little as $1099 and will be available in July.

• You can get a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 chip for $1199 (normally $1299).
• The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip costs $1849 for students.

iMac

• Students can get a 24-inch full-size iMac with a 4.5K Retina display from $1249.

Students can also save on iPad with the discount and get a free $100 Apple gift card.

iPad Air

• The 10.9-inch iPad Air with the powerful M1 chip and 64GB storage is only $549 for students.

iPad Pro

• If you want to get the ultimate experience of an iPad, iPad Pro is your best choice with the M1 chip, the professional camera system, and 5g network. The 11-inch iPad Pro is available for students for $749 while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is only $999.

Students purchasing items included in the Back to School promotion can enjoy an extra 20% discount on AppleCare+ during Apple’s 2022 Back to School promotion. Other devices not covered by the promotion are not eligible for the AppleCare+ discount.

Except for the products listed above, in the Back to School 2022, half-price apple music is also available for students. Pay $4.99 a month then students can get Apple TV+ for a limited time. Outside the Back To School sale, Apple also offers educational pricing on its hardware such as iPad, iPad mini, Mac mini, and Mac Pro.
