FirstLight Selects Netcracker Digital OSS to Accelerate Fiber Buildout for Growing Customer Base


Netcracker Technology announced today that FirstLight, a New York-based provider of fiber-optic data, Internet, data center, cloud, unified communications and cybersecurity services to enterprise and carrier customers, has chosen Netcracker to help expedite its fiber buildout while improving operational efficiency and supporting its rapidly growing business. FirstLight will leverage Netcracker's AI-Native Operations to streamline network operations, improve data quality and decision-making and accelerate fiber deployment, helping the provider scale efficiently while maintaining a secure and reliable network.

FirstLight operates an extensive 20,000 route-mile fiber network that connects more than 16,000 locations with an additional 168,000 locations in close proximity, including unique routes across six states and supporting bandwidth up to 800Gbps to customers throughout the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. To support that scale and continued expansion, FirstLight is replacing multiple legacy systems with Netcracker's Intelligent Operations Platform embedded with AI, resulting in quicker deployments, stronger data accuracy and greater operational agility. The platform will provide FirstLight with a unified view of its network and operations, laying the foundation for increasingly autonomous operations and enabling faster, better-informed decisions as it expands its footprint and services a growing customer base.
