Akamai and Verimatrix Enter Alliance for Multi-Screen TV Servies

Akamai (News - Alert) Technologies Inc., a cloud platform for delivering secure, high-performing user experiences to any device, anywhere, recently signed an agreement with Verimatrix (News - Alert), a specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-screen digital TV services around the globe.

 

According to the agreement, Akamai's Sola Media Solutions' viewer-enhancing client technologies will now be integrated into components of the award-winning Verimatrix Video Content Authority System. The combined solution, expected to enhance value to video service operators, will be demonstrated at IBC 2012 (Verimatrix Stand 4.B54), taking place September 7-11, 2012 in Amsterdam.

 

'By aligning Akamai's Sola Media Solutions' capabilities with the Verimatrix VCAS offerings, we intend to add value for our customers by giving them greater visibility of and control over the performance of their premium video services,' said Troy Snyder, vice president, business development, Akamai. 'Working together with Verimatrix allows our two companies to better address the broader marketplace for multi-network digital TV services. The integration of VCAS stream security with Sola Media Solutions is expected to enable our customers to provide a high quality, and highly secure, viewing experience for their subscribers.'
