BidForGreen Announces New On-Line Green Trading

Biodiesel logistics company BidForGreen has announced that its on-line green auction site, www.bidforgreen.com, is ready for business.

BidForGreen provides logistical support to music tours, such as Willie Nelson, Styx and Brett Dennen, and for movie and television production companies, such as NBC Universal (News - Alert) and the TV show CSI. The company said that it was able to launch its on-line trading version because of base it has in music touring.

In addition, the company offers educational services, and focuses on making sure that suppliers are qualified under both ASTM and the BQ-9000 standard.

The site allows anyone to be a buyer, but only permits pre-qualified companies to offer biodiesel for sale. “We have a large network of qualified partners,” said Dale Wiley, president at BidForGreen. “We will be able to help customers make the switch.”

“We are excited about our ability to match buyers interested in using biodiesel and other green products to quality sellers who can provide them with excellent service,” he added.

Noting that many people in the industry take a list that they find on the internet and accept that as quality, Wiley said “Our process includes pre-qualification, continued monitoring, and even site visits.”

“We will put them in touch with our quality suppliers. If they need help and training, that's available as well,” said Wiley.

BidForGreen trading site features “Wanted” section, which allows users to share their needs with biodiesel. Also, the company provides green content on the site, with blogs—from the likes of Tommy Shaw of Styx, Tony Jones and Dallas star Larry Hagman—industry views, and a video section.

Wiley said that BidForGreen has provided quality biodiesel to some of the biggest names in show business, adding that company intends to expand that to schools and businesses all over the nation.

BidForGreen has operations in Missouri, California, Connecticut and Texas.

Last month, the company announced that it will offer green charter services in the Los Angeles area. Wiley said that using the same method that has worked for BidForGreen in music tours and television shows, BidForGreen can deliver green charter vehicles for people in the Los Angeles area.
