VoIPSwitch has announced Web video conferencing was recently added to their IP-PBX (News - Alert) hosted platform.
PBX users that belong to the same PBX account can now communicate with each other using Video Conferencing extension of the Web Chat menu, company officials say, adding that 'each of the PBX users can create a new conferencing room and then invite others to join. If they are equipped with cameras they can simply press Start Video button to be seen by other conference participants.'
Video conference rooms support multiple video sessions at the same time.
Voiceserve, the Internet Telephony software and service provider of which VoIPSwitch is a subsidiary, participated as an exhibitor at the 2010 Barcelona GSMA Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) February 15-18.
Voiceserve officials say their company 'creates the opportunity for ISP's, VoIP resellers and business entrepreneurs to establish a VoIP telephony enterprise. The VoIPSwitch license has expanded its range of modules to include the full range of mobile dialers.'
In addition, officials say they provide users 'all the cellular features to which they have become accustomed including SMS text, conference call, call waiting, video conferencing, voice mail and call forwarding.'
The Voiceserve VoIPSwitch Mobile dialer is a simple software package that enables regular cell phone users to make calls using a mobile phone via an Internet connection.
A mobile dialer, according to Voiceserve officials, 'may be used by companies attempting to reduce operational costs or by individuals who simply want to save money on their monthly cell phone bill. Once the dialer has been downloaded onto the unit, the phone has the capacity to make a call either via the 3G, edge or WiFi (News - Alert) connection thus reducing the costs.'
