Quintum, Centile Partnership Gives Users VoIP Benefits

Michelle Amodio, TMCnet Associate Editor

Providing customers with a competitive edge in the technology marketplace, Centile has partnered with leading technology companies and value-added resellers (VARs), making VoIP a reality for up and coming service providers.

This week, Centile added Quintum (News - Alert) Technologies to its roster of partners, enabling end-users to take advantage of IP telephony services with Centile’s IntraSwitch and Quintum’s Tenor MultiPath Switches and Gateways. The partnership aims to help enterprises add VoIP capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure.

Centile’s VoIP Applications platform, the “IntraSwitch” is the result of over 6 years development put carriers, service providers at the head of VoIP and multimedia communications. Quintum's Tenor MultiPath Switches and Gateways interface with the public switched telephone network (PSTN), premise-based IP-PBXs and hybrid enterprise environments, allowing businesses to leverage their existing PBX (News - Alert) investment while expanding VoIP technology adoption. Together, Centile and Quintum give customers a wide range of VoIP access solutions.

"We are very excited to support Centile’s applications with our Tenor VoIP switches and gateways," said Chuck Rutledge, Vice President of Marketing for Quintum in a statement. “Customers who have not yet adopted an IP telephony solution or require a survivable gateway solution for IP Centrex, will be able to take advantage of Centile’s value-added and innovative applications using Quintum's VoIP products."

Quintum made headlines this month when PingTone tapped its Tenor AFG200 for the capability to integrate analog devices, such as fax machines, with VoIP-based networks.

Quintum’s Tenor VoIP MultiPath VoIP access solutions offer a unique MultiPath design, allowing VoIP to be supported in both existing circuit-based PBX and IP-PBX voice networks.
