By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Mobile Voice over Internet Protocol or "mVoIP" market is growing. Leading VoIP application providers are offering new applications and services targeting specific industry verticals to rake in from the emerging opportunity.

Vox Communications, a provider of VoIP and smart phone applications, announced the launch of a mobile VoIP service and smart phone app to U.S. military personnel and their families.

The mobile VoIP application from Vox, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pervasip, can be easily downloaded to a smart phone in the U.S. or overseas. Vox is offering a 10 percent discount to military members, and has a special landing page for military personnel and their families.

The military Web site is located at http://www.voxcorp.net/landing/armedforces/.

Paul Riss, chairman and CEO of Pervasip, said, "Our downloadable app allows people to save significant amount money on their home and cellular services. We anticipate a successful rollout as our products and apps are developed to give customers a quality service accompanied by a special discount to our already-low prices."

Riss further said, "We look forward to serving the needs of our military by offering some of the best values in mobile communications throughout the world. VoX can be downloaded to almost every major brand of smart phone that is manufactured today."

In May, Vox Communications announced it is offering free mobile computer to customers upon signing a two-year contract for its unlimited voice, text and data plan through N900 mobile, TMCnet reported.  Along with standard calling features, users get unlimited text messaging and internet access for free.
