Sippy Software, Inc., developer of next-generation telecommunications technologies used by global telecom networks, brand name VoIP companies and regional carriers, has announced the release of its latest update, Sippy version 4.1.
Continuing to build on the popular Sippy Operating Architecture, Sippy 4.1 delivers substantial improvements to the company’s Class 4 and Class 5 feature sets, as well as delivering the foundation for the future clustering technologies such as the Sippy Media Gateway (News - Alert) license. That license is currently available under the Sippy Beta Release program.
According to the company, the new Sippy 4.1 delivers some strong improvements over earlier versions, including Call Detail Records.
“Call Duration Roundup (CDR) duration calculation can be configured to round up in all cases, as an alternative to the standard rounding regime,” the company said in a statement. “Rounding Policy can be set either on the Vendor, Account or On-Net calling level.” In addition, “Calls originating via DIDs now generate corresponding CDRs.”
There was other news from Sippy as well, as the company announced bulked-up customer support.
“In April we launched our new customer support portal, which allows our clients to manage their support tickets, review historic support tickets, read our help documentation, and request, comment and vote for new product features,” the company noted. “We invite all our customers to participate in our new support portal, and feature requests forums.”
Not content to rest on its laurels, the company also has some intriguing new technologies in the pipeline.
“Sippy Media Gateway (SMG) is a separate software license that provides Media Relay clustering functionality on an external server,” the company said. “SMG functionality is currently only available under our beta program on an invite-basis. Please contact [email protected] for more information on the Sippy Media Gateway License, and/or how to join the Beta Release Program.”
The company added that upcoming rollouts include further clustering solutions, session tracker scalability and performance improvements, and improved audit logs on the Web. No dates for the planned rollouts were released.
