VoIP solutions are a sure fire way to enable organizations that have multiple divisions and/or locations to communicate much more efficiently, which helps keep all team members on the same page and ramp up project completion. As organizations increasingly begin to leverage these next-generation solutions, LTE (News - Alert), aka Long Term Evolution, is allowing telecommunication providers to expand their offerings and gain an array of new customers.
Teo, a provider of VoIP solutions to multiple industries, recently issued a blog post that discussed how at the LTE World Summit in Barcelona, Movius (News - Alert) Interactive Corporation revealed that the increase of LTE is powering more and more video conferencing solutions, in addition to increasing service provider revenue.
"LTE provides the capacity for video to become the accepted means of communication for smartphone devices," Movius chief executive officer Dominic Gomez commented. "That means that not only can new services like mobile television and mobile video conferencing emerge but basic backbone services such as messaging can also be improved."
With the multiple benefist seen through utilizing LTE, the video conferencing will continue to grow at a rapid pace. In fact, according to Global Industry Analysts, forecasts highlight that the global video conferencing market will touch $14 billion in revenue by 2017.
Additionally, the use of video conferencing is increasing particularly within small companies. Pretty popular within the enterprise market for years, a majority of small- to medium-sized organizations were previously unable to leverage this communication solution due to its huge price tag (News - Alert), yet with VoIP in place, conferencing costs are slashed significantly.
In a separate report from Infonetics Research, it was revealed that within the first quarter of 2012, the largest order of IP multimedia subsystem equipment and application licenses were purchased ever in history, primarily caused by the adoption of VoLTE.
"[The first quarter of 2012] was an unusually good quarter for the service provider VoIP and IMS equipment market not only because of the big IMS order for VoLTE but also because of continued fixed-line network transformation, fixed-mobile convergence and voice over broadband projects over IMS worldwide," Diane Myers, Infonetics (News - Alert) Research principal analyst added.
As more people realize what LTE is capable of, the video conferencing and VoIP solutions verticals will continue to show overwhelming growth. Luckily, Teo is there to assist customers with this transition, as the company is touted as allowing organizations to communicate seamlessly across all devices and platforms. Some of the VoIP solution provider’s products include VoIP, UC, E911, TSG-6, and ISDN equipment.
