360networks (News - Alert), a facilities-based wholesale provider of VoIP solutions, announced the launch of its new customer portal called 360connect.
360connect, according to company officials, enables customers to manage their VoIP-related interactions with 360networks, directly from their desktop. The VoIP solutions provider also plans to offer an option to integrate internal applications directly into 360networks's ordering and provisioning services via an application programming interface (API).
The new portal includes features such as reserving and activating telephone numbers, placing directory listings orders, reviewing inventory, submitting and monitoring trouble tickets, managing local number portability (LNP) requests and more.
"We are constantly looking for ways to improve our customers' experience," said Nick Reifschneider, VoIP product director for 360networks, in a statement. "360connect makes it easier than ever to do business with 360networks, streamlining administrative functions while still providing the responsive service our customers have come to expect."
The new service has added a personal touch to the VoIP solutions already offered by the company, said Megan Outcalt, LNP/provisioning manager for JAB Broadband. "We are quite pleased with the simplicity 360connect provides; but, we know we can always get live support when we need it."
In addition to VoIP services, 360networks delivers a wide range of wholesale services including Transit, Private Line, and Ethernet services, all from a single source, company officials said. Its facilities-based network provides deep coverage, spanning 18,500 miles to tier 1 to 4 U.S. markets and British Columbia.
Back in June, 360networks announced that Montana Opticom (News - Alert) has selected its new Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) service. Leveraging the 360networks EVPL service, Montana Opticom will gain from a more scalable, cost effective and reliable connectivity alternative than traditional TDM or other connectivity solutions, company officials said.
