phone systems specialist Allworx announced Tuesday an important milestone: the 1,100th shipment of its 6x VoIP system. That achievement was reached during the first seven months of general availability for the product, exceeding both sales and channel expectations.
The 6x, which comes with an installed price of only $1,800, is a state-of-the-art VoIP phone system designed specifically with the needs of small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) in mind.
Allworx said in its announcement that the 6x is unique in the industry because of the full set of Key system features at its price-point. The system is also designed to be extremely easy to install and use.
Just as important for SMBs, the 6x is capable of utilizing both TDM and VoIP phone services. That, combined with the system’s robust features, allow SMBs to transition at their own pace to VoIP without sacrificing traditional phone features.
“Selling 1,100 units within seven months of introduction shows that the Allworx 6x has ‘hit the mark’ as the traditional key-system replacement in small business,” Allworx CEO George Daddis said in a statement. “Fueled by this success, our sales channel grew dramatically in 2006 as VARs found the Allworx 6x to be the most profitable and the easiest SMB VoIP solution to adopt.”
